The mechanical ox rotisserie made its first appearance at the Oktoberfest in 1881, and the Ochesenbraterei has since become one of the largest tents of the Wiesn. You can’t miss the colossal ox twirling on a spit high above the entryway.
The Ochsenbraterei offers an amazing variety of different oxen specialties and excellent Spaten beer to wash it down.
The Haberl family has been successfully running the Ochsenbraterei since 1980 and keeps the tent family-friendly and fun without the rowdiness that may be found elsewhere.
