Oktoberfest 2012 Middle Weekend Package Sept. 28 -Oct. 02, 2012 $895pp

Friday Sept. 28:

Welcome to Germany! Check-in to your contemporary hotel, meet your Tour Managers, then join your fellow travelers for an intimate look at Munich's historic old town as your tour manager shows you how to navigate Munich’s impressive transportation system. The tour ends at Oktoberfest where you are free to wander and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Saturday Sept. 29:
Don't miss the Bavarian Central Agricultural Festival; it takes place on the southern end of the Theresienwiese only once every four years. 2012 is the 125th anniversary celebration. Be sure to check out everything Oktoberfest has to offer including amazing carnival rides, vaudeville shows, and dozens of food and souvenir stands. Your Oktoberfest Beer Tent Reservation will be today or tomorrow, depending on availability.  (B,D)

Sunday Sept. 30:
Enjoy a free concert performed by all Oktoberfest tent bands at the foot of the Bavaria statue. Unless your reservation is today, you'll have plenty of time for tent-hopping, or taking an optional excursion to one of the many destinations easily accessible from Munich. Perhaps a 1/2 day trip to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, or discover more of Munich through a guided Bicycle Tour? (B)

Monday Oct. 01:
Spend today at your leisure, a great time to leave the hustle and bustle of the city and take a fascinating day-trip by train to the gorgeous Bavarian Alps for a tour of King Ludwig II's fairy-tale castle, Neuschwanstein. Of course there is always more to see at the Oktoberfest. Prices on rides will be reduced today during 'Mittagswiesn.' (B)

Tuesday Oct. 02:
It’s time to say Auf Wiedersehen to Munich as your tour comes to an end after breakfast. (B)
